Taking these radical theories as true, they have several important implications for the section of the Social Chapter that deals with the harmonisation of atypical and full time workers rights. Presently the differing rights of these two bands of employees reinforces the dualism (primary and secondary labour) that already exists in the labour market as a result of employees ascribed characteristics and capitalists prejudiced selection policies. Policies and prejudices such as these will prevent 'the invisible hand of the market' from working its equilibrating 'magic' no matter how deregulated proponents of neo-classical theory make the labour market. This is justification enough for regulation centring on harmonisation to proceed.
